Q:  How much do your services cost?

A:  In this crazy economy, finances must be reviewed and choices for vendors made accordingly - Ace of Images respects and understands that.  With an a la carte style price list, the cost is dictated by your unique situation.  Please call or email for more details.  No matter what the final price of the package, QUALITY is NEVER sacrificed!

Q:  What is your area?

A:  Anywhere!  Ace of Images is a completely mobile company with roots in Northwest Ohio, connections throughout the deep south and west coast and we currently call Indiana home.  There is nowhere that is out of consideration!  Travel fees vary depending on location.  No fees apply if within fifty miles of either Sherwood, Ohio or Kendallville, Indiana.

Q:  How do I get my proofs, photos and albums?

A:  With online proofing and ordering, you can view your photos any time, any day.  The best part? Not having to order all the photos for every relative that attended your wedding who lives far away, then having to worry about shipping.  Guests can view and order online after the event is released to the public.

Q:  How do I book a date?

A:  Call or email to get started!  We will schedule an appointment to go over details and timelines.  For weddings especially, this is key to understanding your expectations and desires as well as that special "it", that you have as a couple -- what makes you love each other enough to take the plunge!  A contract must be signed and returned with the first third of total payment due for services to actually book your date.  Please note: October is the new June!!! It fills up first, so book ASAP!

A Little About Me. . .

My name is Alaina (Speiser) Carnahan; originally hailing from Sherwood, Ohio, I now reside in Northeast Indiana with my husband Ryan and our black lab/collie mix Rebel "Rooster". Having poured my life into the arts since a young age, I am dedicated to using my skills, talents and training to better my community as well as earn a living.  Holding a Bachelors of Fine Art from Defiance College, I specialize in photography, drawing, and printmaking (the original graphic arts!).  When not working, I donate my time and photography to such organizations as the Volunteer Connection of Northwest Ohio and the Gene Stratton-Porter Historic Site in Rome City, Indiana.  I truly believe the phrase I picked up from the Volunteer Connection, "Your time, your choice.  Don't just live here, DO something".

Why do I primarily work in photographic media?  It's an addiction.  An addiction to capturing the moment -- telling the stories that make life great, for better and for worse.   As a photojournalist for the Defiance Crescent-News since 2006, I discovered my love of sports photography.  Forever documenting that precise moment that a high school senior makes the winning play, in spite of adversity due to weather, size of the opponent or time inspires me to strive.  My dedication to my craft is also about tender moments when those same seniors realize at graduation it's time to move on.  When a father sees the bride walk up the aisle as not simply his little girl, but now someone's wife, it's these moments that move me.  This is why I have been successfully shooting weddings since 2005.  I also am who I am today because I come from a long line of strong people who are often characterized by others with one word: Integrity.  This is but one of the reasons I treasure my family, the crazy quirks and silly arguments to boot!  I pass that respect on through my work with photo restoration.  Everyone has a right to know who and where they come from.

Being an artist in the field of photography gives me an edge over competition.  Artists are passionate.  Artists do not settle for the quick snapshot, they risk ridicule and sometimes personal injury to get that perfect shot, to really tell the story (Yay for insurance!!! I've discovered most of us are klutzy at the most inopportune times...)!  In these economic times, many people enter this field for a quick extra buck. Those of us who spent whole days scurrying around in the dim light of a darkroom, learning the basics, perfecting personal style endure and rise to the top.

It is a privilege and right earned through dedication and hard work that I am in this business of serving others.

Thank you,
Alaina Carnahan
